Natural gas stocks in Ukraine's underground storage exceed 23 bcm

Natural gas stocks in Ukraine's underground storage facilities (USF) from August 1 to August 8, 2020, grew by 3.6%, to over 23 billion cubic meters (bcm).

This was reported by state-run LLC Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine (GTSOU).

Gas reserves in USF as of August 8, 2020, were 39% more than on the same date in 2019 (16.6 bcm).

As of now, Ukrainian gas storage facilities are 74% full.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine on March 11 began the season for pumping natural gas for underground gas storage.

Gas reserves in the storage facilities as of March 11 totaled 15.808 bcm.

By the beginning of the 2019-2020 heating season, Ukraine had accumulated 21.76 bcm of natural gas in underground storage facilities, which was a record high amount in the past decade.
