Gov't destroys 90% of "tender trolls," Zelensky boasts

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says the state has destroyed almost 90% of tender trolls, who would block bidding procedures and hindered, among other things, rapid construction of infrastructure facilities across the country.

The comment came during the president's working visit to Ukraine's Sumy region, where Zelensky spoke of the low pace of the Great Construction program implementation in the region.

"This is due to the fact that many projects have been blocked at the level of the Antimonopoly Committee. That's because the so-called tender trolls are out there. We've destroyed almost all (90%) such trolls that had for years been making millions off price dumping on tenders. There's a few of them left out there," Zelensky told journalists on September 8.
