Ukrainian gas stocks grow by 1.4% to 28.1 bcm over week

Natural gas stocks in Ukraine's underground storage facilities (USFs) grew by 1.4%, to 28.13 billion cubic meters (bcm) within a week, from September 26 to October 3.

Background:

  • Ukraine started the season of pumping natural gas into its USFs on March 11, when the country's gas reserves there were 15.808 bcm.
  • By the start of the 2019-2020 heating season, Ukraine had accumulated 21.76 bcm of gas in its USFs, which was a record high figure in the past decade.
