Hryvnia keeps sliding: fresh rates for Dec 24

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has set the official forex rate for December 24 at UAH 28.46 to the U.S. dollar, which made the country's national currency weaken by 21 kopiykas.

The official forex rate against the euro for Thursday is fixed at UAH 34.62 per euro – the hryvnia lost five kopiykas in value since Wednesday, according to the NBU website.

• US$100 will be quoted at UAH 2,845.51 (UAH 2,825.13 as of December 23);
• EUR 100 will be quoted at UAH 3,461.56 (UAH 3,456.69 as of December 23).

Interbank rate

By 16:00 Kyiv time on December 23, hryvnia quotations against the dollar on the interbank forex market settled at UAH 28.47/28.49 to the dollar, while those against the euro were at UAH 34.65/34.68.

The National Bank set the official forex rate for December 23 at UAH 28.25 to the U.S. dollar, thus weakening the country's national currency by 21 kopiykas.
