Hryvnia slightly weakens to U.S. dollar on Oct 26

The official forex rate against the euro for Monday is fixed at UAH 33.55 per euro.

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has set the official forex rate for October 26 at UAH 28.29 to the U.S. dollar, thus weakening the country's national currency by two kopiykas.

The official forex rate against the euro for Monday is fixed at UAH 33.55 per euro – the hryvnia lost 14 kopiykas in value since Friday, according to the NBU website.

Regulator's rate

The central bank has fixed the following official forex rates of the hryvnia against key foreign currencies for October 26:

Currency in Kyiv's exchange booths

The U.S. dollar in Kyiv's currency exchange booths strengthened against the hryvnia, as the forex rate changed by five kopiykas to UAH 28.45 on the morning of Monday, October 26, from UAH 28.40 on October 23.

The euro also gained in value against the hryvnia, as the rate changed by seven kopiykas to UAH 33.70 per euro from UAH 33.63, according to an UNIAN correspondent.

Meanwhile, the U.S. dollar was sold for UAH 28.25 on average, while the euro for UAH 33.20 on October 26.

Interbank rate

By 16:00 Kyiv time on October 23, hryvnia quotations against the dollar on the interbank forex market settled at UAH 28.30/28.32 to the dollar, while those against the euro were at UAH 33.54/33.56.

The National Bank set the official forex rate for October 23 at UAH 28.27 to the U.S. dollar, having kept the rate at the same level.
