Hryvnia strengthens to UAH 27.31 to U.S. dollar on Aug 18

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has set the official forex rate for August 18 at UAH 27.31 to the U.S. dollar, strengthening the national currency by four kopiykas.

The official forex rate against the euro for Tuesday is fixed at UAH 32.37 per euro – the hryvnia weakened by six kopiykas in value since Monday, according to the NBU website.

The central bank has fixed the following official forex rates of the hryvnia against key foreign currencies for August 18:

Interbank rate

By 16:00 Kyiv time on August 17, hryvnia quotations against the dollar on the interbank forex market settled at UAH 27.27/27.29 to the dollar, while those against the euro were at UAH 32.33/32.35.

The National Bank set the official forex rate for August 17 at UAH 27.35 to the U.S. dollar, which let the country's national currency strengthen by six kopiykas.
