Inspection reveals fuel theft from pipe leading to Boryspil Airport

Perpetrators have damaged the fuel line outside the airport perimeter, in the rural area, to get unauthorized access.

Boryspil International Airport (KBP) staff inspecting the technical condition of fuel lines leading to the facility discovered that the pipe had been tampered with.

The breach was revealed at a farmland plot outside the airport perimeter, the Boryspil press service reveals

It is noted that the CSI team are working at the scene.

"Offenses of this magnitude are unacceptable. This unauthorized breach causes significant financial losses. All those involved must be identified as we count on the professionalism and efficiency of law enforcement," the press service quotes Borispol Airport CEO Pavlo Riabikin as saying.

UNIAN memo. The Boryspil International Airport is located in a rural area – mostly in the village of Hora (official registration address) and a smaller part – within Boryspil town limits.

It is a state-owned enterprise providing 68% of all air transportation services in Ukraine.

The airport is home to the country's largest carrier – Ukraine International Airlines.
