Other restrictions on imports of fertilizers into Ukraine may be reviewed next.
Ukrainian Member of Parliament from the Servant of the People Party Marian Zablotskyi has said Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal promised not to introduce quotas for imported mineral fertilizers.
"At a meeting of the Servant of the People's [parliamentary] faction yesterday, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal promised there would be no quotas for imported fertilizers," he wrote on Facebook on June 16.

"According to Mr. Shmyhal, prices of fertilizers in Ukraine are high even without quotas... Later, Taras Kachka [Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture] confirmed this in correspondence with me," the MP said.
Zablotskyi suggests other restrictions on imports of fertilizers into Ukraine may be reviewed next.
"Unfortunately, our factories continue exporting [Ukrainian-made produce] at lower prices than they sell it to Ukrainian farmers," he added.
As UNIAN reported earlier, over 10 agricultural associations asked Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky not to introduce the quotas for imports of mineral fertilizers.
In late May, the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture announced it would introduce a 30% quota for imported nitrogen fertilizers. The agrarian associations opposed such plans, fearing price hikes over domestic producers' monopoly on the market.
