The National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP), upon receiving a report from Ukrainian MP Geo Leros, has started a probe to check compliance of Ukraine's Acting Minister of Energy and Environmental Policy Olha Buslavets with anti-corruption legislation.

On May 28, Leros submitted a report to NACP related to the minister's conflict of interests in the state-run Energoatom.

"The lawmaker claims the official had a conflict of interest when submitting a separate order of the Directorate for the Development of Nuclear Energy and Atomic Industry of the Ministry and the state-run enterprise Energoatom," NACP reported.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on May 28, Leros came forward with public allegations against Buslavets, who he claims must be put on the list of registered corruption-related offenders.

"The [acting] minister acted amid an actual conflict of interest, when on May 8 she directly issued in relation to the subdivision of [Ukraine's national nuclear energy generating company] Energoatom a 'separate order' to preserve the previously withdrawn subdivision where her son is employed," the MP wrote on Facebook on May 28.
