The National Bank of Ukraine expects that the unemployment rate in 2020 will reach 10%, instead of 9.5% predicted in April.

That's according to the central bank's inflation report for July.

"Weakening of quarantine in May led to the resumption of labor supply, which the weekly CV applications data for June says returned to pre-quarantine level," the report reads.

"Interest in finding a job has resumed not only in the domestic labor market, but also abroad, which was facilitated by the partial reopening of state borders for those seeking employment abroad," the statement said.
