Hryvnia keeps sliding: fresh rates for Oct 5

The official forex rate against the euro for Monday is fixed at UAH 33.23 per euro.

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has set the official forex rate for October 5 at UAH 28.34 to the U.S. dollar, thus weakening the country's national currency by one kopiyka.

Regulator's rate

The central bank has fixed the following official forex rates of the hryvnia against key foreign currencies for October 5:

US$100 will be quoted at UAH 2,834.08 (UAH 2,833.43 as of October 2);

EUR 100 will be quoted at UAH 3,323.24 (UAH 3,332.82 as of October 2).

Interbank rate

By 16:00 Kyiv time on October 2, hryvnia quotations against the dollar on the interbank forex market settled at UAH 28.35/28.37 to the dollar, while those against the euro were at UAH 33.24/33.25.

The U.S. dollar has not chanted in value against the hryvnia in Kyiv's currency exchange booths, as the rate remained the same, at UAH 28.45 per dollar, according to an UNIAN correspondent.

The euro weakened against the hryvnia, as the forex rate changed by three kopiykas to UAH 33.35 on the morning of Monday, October 5, from UAH 23.38 on October 2.

Meanwhile, the U.S. dollar was sold for UAH 28.25 on average, while the euro for UAH 32.85 on October 5.

Forex rate for October 2

The National Bank set the official forex rate for October 2 at UAH 28.33 to the U.S. dollar, which made the country's national currency weaken by two kopiykas.
