NBU: Ukraine's foreign trade balance in Jan sees $260 mln surplus

The deficit in trade in goods increased 1.5 times, while the surplus in services quadrupled.

The balance of foreign trade in goods and services of Ukraine in January 2021 was brought to a surplus of $260 million against a deficit of $32 million reported over the same period in 2020.

That's according to the National Bank of Ukraine.

The deficit of foreign trade in goods for the said period increased by 1.5 times, the report adds, from $155 million to $230 million.

According to the National Bank of Ukraine, the balance of foreign trade in goods and services of Ukraine for 2020 was reduced with a deficit of $1.677 billion against a deficit of $12.5 billion a year earlier.
