Production of buses fell by 56.5%, to 27 units.
The output of motor vehicles in Ukraine declined by 75% in May 2020 despite the low comparison base.
In total, 126 motor vehicles were assembled over the period under review, the Ukrautoprom Association said.
"The production of passenger cars decreased by 80% year-over-year (y-o-y). As a year earlier, only one plant worked in this segment of the domestic automobile industry, namely Eurocar [in Zakarpattia region], where only 87 Skoda cars were assembled in the large-assembly mode in May," reads the report.

In May, only two enterprises, namely Cherkasy Bus and ZAZ, manufactured buses – 25 and two buses, respectively.
"The only manifestation of positive dynamics was noted in the segment of commercial vehicles as 12 units were made, or 50% more y-o-y. All cars were manufactured at the Cherkasy Bus plant," Ukrautoprom said.
The AutoKrAZ truck manufacturer has not provided its truck output statistics since August 2016.
In total, 1,550 motor vehicles were assembled in Ukraine from January to May 2020, which was 35% less y-o-y.
In particular, 1,325 passenger cars (-35%), 24 commercial vehicles (+14%), 201 buses (-41%) were assembled in January-May 2020.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the output of motor vehicles in Ukraine declined by 5% in January 2020 y-o-y, to 849 units.
