Ukraine sees 6% rise in retail trade in Jan-Aug

Retail turnover increased most in Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernihiv, and Zaporizhia regions.

Retail trade in Ukraine grew by 6% in comparable prices in January-August 2020 year-over-year (y-o-y), to UAH 748.8 billion (US$26.5 billion).

Retail trade in August 2020 alone rose by 8.7% against August 2019.

Trade through retail outlets in January-August 2020 was estimated at UAH 542.4 billion, or US$19.2 billion, which was 5.9% up y-o-y.
