!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UAA1 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sales of new passenger cars in Ukraine declined by 5% in January-April 2020 year-over-year (y-o-y), to 23,900 vehicles.

Ukrainians in April alone purchased and registered 3,700 new passenger cars, which was almost 50% down y-o-y, the Ukrautoprom association's press service said.

Moreover, such a result is not an anti-record since there were lower monthly indicators four or five years ago.

"Despite a sharp drop in the number of new cars' registrations, for the third month in a row the three market leaders have remained unchanged, namely Renault, Toyota, and KIA. However, the said brands in the same order also topped the last year's April rating. Yet, there are some surprises. The BMW brand climbed from the ninth spot [in April 2019] to fourth, whereas it was ranked 13th in March 2020. Mercedes-Benz was a surprise as well, as it showed growth in sales, taking the sixth position in April. The brand was on 14th spot  in this period last year, and ranked 11th in March," the report said.
