Subsistence level, related social benefits increase in Ukraine

The Social Insurance Fund published the relevant statement on the government portal.

The subsistence level for able-bodied persons in Ukraine has increased, as planned, today, December 1, from UAH 2,197 (US$77.09) to UAH 2,270 (US$79.65).

The amount of related one-time benefits financed by the Fund for victims of industrial accidents or occupational diseases, as well as persons entitled to payments in case of a family supporter's loss, has increased as well.

Persons who have the right to insurance payments from December 1 include: victims of industrial accidents (in line with the degree of loss of professional ability to work, they will receive maximum 17 living wages, established by law for able-bodied people, with 100% disability, that is UAH 38,590/US$1,354 per capita); families of a victim in case of his/her death (100 living wages, i.e. UAH 227,000/US$7,965); a dependent in the event of a victim's death (20 living wages, i.e. UAH 45,400/US$1,593).

Earlier, the payments amounted to UAH 37,349 (US$1,310), UAH 219,700 (US$7,709), and UAH 43,940 (US$1,541), respectively.
