In January-July, the state budget was fulfilled by 94%.
State Treasury says UAH 58.0 billion (US$2.09 billion) was transferred to the national budget's general fund, which is 111.6% of the target.
VAT refunds stood at UAH 9.1 billion ($328.3 million), the Cabinet press service reported with the reference to Treasury data.
"On payments administered by the State Tax Service, revenues amounted to UAH 29.6 billion ($1.07 billion), which is 23.1%, or UAH 5.6 billion ($202 million), over target. Main payments contributing to overfulfillment were value-added tax (UAH 4.3 billion, or $155 million), including through tackling tax refund abuse; excise tax on Ukraine-made products (UAH 1.2 billion, or $43.29 million); personal income tax and military tax (UAH 0.2 billion, or $7.2 million); and subsoil rent (UAH 0.2 billion, or $7.2 million)," the Cabinet of Ministers said in a statement.

Receipts of customs payments to the general fund of the state budget amounted to UAH 25.6 billion ($923.5 million), or 100.4% of the target, the press service added.
At the end of January-July 2020, the general fund of the national budget saw revenue inflow at 94.0% of the target, while in January-April it was 86.1%.
According to the State Treasury's operational data, in January-July 2020, the national budget general fund's expenditures amounted to UAH 564.3 billion ($20 billion), or 88% of the plan for the reporting period. At the same time, social and defense spending, debt servicing, as well as subventions and subsidies to local budgets have been fully financed.
In January-July 2020, the state budget was executed with a deficit of UAH 47.4 billion ($1.7 billion), including the general fund – with a deficit of UAH 54.8 billion ($1.98 billion), with the general fund target of UAH 100.8 billion ($3.6 billion) for the said period...
As UNIAN reported earlier, in January-June, the budget saw a deficit of UAH 16.7 billion ($602 million), including the general fund – of UAH 27.9 billion ($1 billion), with the target of UAH 42.1 billion ($1.5 billion) for the said period.
