Ukraine sees acceleration of reduction in capital investment in Q3

Capital investment in all the nine months totaled almost US$9.5 billion.

A reduction in capital investment in Ukraine in the third quarter of 2020 (Q3) was 36.2% year-on-year (y-o-y) against 34.4% in Q2 and 35.5% in Q1.

This was reported by the country's State Statistics Service on its website.

Capital investment for in the all nine months amounted to UAH 267.996 billion, or US$9.45 billion. In particular, the indicator in Q1 was UAH 76.914 billion (US$2.71 billion) and in the first six months (H1) of the year it was UAH 163.782 billion (US$5.77 billion).

The report does not include information from Russia-occupied parts of Ukraine, namely Crimea with the city of Sevastopol, as well as certain districts in Luhansk and Donetsk regions.
