Ukraine-Bulgaria joint group on tourism to resume work

This year, the officials will meet in Sofia after a pause.

Ukraine and Bulgaria have decided to resume the work of their joint working group on tourism.

That's according to Ukraine's embassy in the country.

On February 24, a working meeting was held via video conference between the head of the State Agency for Tourism Development of Ukraine, Maryana Oleskiv, and the Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Mariyana Nikolova.

"It was agreed to resume the activity of the Ukrainian-Bulgarian working group on tourism and convene a meeting in Sofia in 2021," the report says.

The parties also defined the main directions of bilateral cooperation for the near future and agreed to hold business forums in the field of tourism between the two states.

Citizens of Ukraine were allowed to enter Bulgaria until April 30, provided they carry a valid certificate proving their negative COVID-19 PCR test result. The test must be run no earlier than 72 hours prior to crossing in.
