Zelensky wants to develop aircraft engineering

President Volodymyr Zelensky has issued instructions to launch within three months a program for aircraft engineers' training in Ukraine.

This was announced on the president's channel on Telegram.

"Ukraine should continue to be proud of our engineers," the announcement said.

"Therefore, President Volodymyr Zelensky instructed Ukroboronprom, including the Antonov enterprise, together with the Ministry of Education and Science and Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, to create and launch within three months a special training program for [aircraft] designers and engineers named after Oleh Antonov," it said.

Aircraft designer Oleh Antono is known all over the world thanks to his engineering talent, it said.

In addition, Zelensky instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to develop incentives "so that talented young engineers can continue to promote Ukraine throughout the world."

IT program for the unemployed

• On January 21, 2021, it became known that the Economy Ministry and the State Employment Center, jointly with the Ministry of Digital Transformation, will train the unemployed in Kyiv, offering them a pilot program for IT training.
• As of January 1, 2021, there were 459,000 unemployed people registered with the State Employment Service. Among the unemployed, women accounted for 56%, the share of men was 44%.
