U.S. dollar in Kyiv's exchange booths weakens on June 9

The euro became stronger against the hryvnia.

The U.S. dollar in Kyiv's currency exchange booths weakened by five kopiykas against the hryvnia, Ukraine's national currency, to UAH 26.75 on the morning of Tuesday, June 9.

The euro gained 10 kopiykas in value against the hryvnia, as the rate was UAH 30.25 per euro, according to an UNIAN correspondent.

Meanwhile, the U.S. dollar was sold for UAH 26.45 on average, while the euro for UAH 29.55.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the National Bank set the official forex rate of the hryvnia for Tuesday, June 9, at UAH 26.60 to the U.S. dollar, which let the country's national currency strengthen by 10 kopiykas. Thus, the hryvnia saw gains against the U.S. dollar for the seventh consecutive day.
