Ukraine's Navy to get 60 brand-new floating Butsefal BTRs

CEO of Kharkiv-based Morozov Machine Building Design Bureau Yakiv Mormylo says naval infantry units of Ukraine's Navy will receive 60 new brand-new armored personnel carrier (BTR) Butsefal ("Bucephalus") with increased floatability next year.

That is according to the Ukrainian online news outlet Obozrevatel, referring to the Ukrainian military news portal Defense Express on December 15.

BTR-4 Butsefal's performance characteristic

• BTR-4 is designed to transport personnel of motorized infantry units and provide their fire support in combat.
• The vehicle could be used as basic military hardware for equipping special rapid reaction forces and marines.
• It is able to fight in various conditions, including the cases when enemy forces use weapons of mass destruction.
• Butsefal could perform tasks both during the day and at night, in different climatic conditions, on roads with different surfaces, and in off-road conditions.
