The balance of hryvnia loans in July alone increased by 0.7%.
Bank deposits in the national currency in Ukraine in July 2020 grew by 2.4% from June 2020, to UAH 713.8 billion, or US$26.1 billion, while deposits in foreign currency rose by 5.8%, to US$17.7 billion, in the U.S. dollar equivalent.
Since year-start, bank deposits in hryvnias have increased by 11.4%, while those in foreign currency have also grown by 19.3%, according to the National Bank of Ukraine.
The balance of hryvnia loans in July increased by 0.7%, whereas it shrank by 0.4% in the seven months of 2020, to UAH 610.9 billion (US$22.3 billion), the regulator said.
