Finance Ministry borrows another UAH 6 bln to state budget

The funds were raised from the sale of four bond packages.

The Ministry of Finance has attracted UAH 6.009 billion (US$ 212 million) to the state budget at a weekly auction, having sold domestic government bonds on October 13.

The funds in hryvnia were raised through the sale of four packages of hryvnia-denominated bonds worth UAH 1.918 billion, UAH 1.887 billion, UAH 1.127 billion, and UAH 1.077 billion, maturing in 195, 349, 657 and 1,133 days, respectively, the Ministry's press service reports.

Background

In late April, the Ministry of Finance, after a several-weeks' break, returned to the domestic borrowing market, resuming weekly auctions.

The Ministry of Finance attracted UAH 136.2 billion, $2.6 billion, and EUR 630 million to the state budget at bond auctions in January-September 2020.
