The average price of imported natural gas paid by Ukraine in March 2020 alone was US$153.65 per 1,000 cubic meters.
CEO of Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine (GTSOU) LLC Serhiy Makogon says the company has purchased natural gas in Europe at a price of UAH 2,700 (US$99.82) per 1,000 cubic meters excluding VAT.

"The gas price in Europe is declining. Accordingly, GTSOU's gas purchase price is falling as well. Yesterday's purchase price stood at UAH 2,700 without VAT (a little less than US$100). A nice figure," he said on Facebook on April 22.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the average price of imported natural gas paid by Ukraine in March 2020 was US$153.65 per 1,000 cubic meters, which was 8.8% down from February 2020.
Earlier, the then Ukrainian Minister of Energy and Environmental Protection Oleksiy Orzhel said prices of natural gas in the summer of 2020 might fall to US$80 per 1,000 cubic meters, whereas the average price of imported natural gas in Ukraine in January 2020 was to US$175.26 per 1,000 cubic meters.
