Ambassador of Ukraine to Austria Oleksandr Scherba says he admits that the flights between the two countries suspended over the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic may be relaunched from June 23.

"As for the situation with the resumption of air travel between Ukraine and Austria. There is a possibility that flights will resume after June 23, if both countries by that time are 'open' to each other both in terms of reopening airspace and in terms of removing restrictions on entry of citizens," he wrote on Facebook on May 29.

Earlier, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said that the government would return to the issue of resuming scheduled flights after June 15. "We are conducting a dialogue with air carriers, and so far we think there is no sense in opening airports and launching scheduled flights before June 15," he said.
