Ukraine's Finance Ministry says the country's overall public debt in January 2021 increased by US$490 million, to US$90.74 billion.
Over the period under review, public debt in the hryvnia equivalent grew by UAH 6.34 billion, to UAH 2.558 trillion, the ministry said on its website.
Direct public debt in January in the U.S. dollar equivalent rose by 0.49%, to US$80.29 billion, while growing by 0.2%, to UAH 2.263 trillion in the hryvnia equivalent.

At the same time, Ukraine's government-guaranteed debt rose by 0.97%, to US$10.45 billion, growing by 0.61% in the hryvnia equivalent, to UAH 294.48 billion.
