The Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine is holding consultations with a number of EU member states on the resumption of air travel, while an agreement has already been reached with Georgia, says Minister of Infrastructure Vladyslav Kryklii.

Air travel with Georgia will resume July 1, Kryklii has told the Obozrevatel outlet on Tuesday, May 19.

"International passenger flights are scheduled for the third stage of public transport resumption. We're working out a solution for each country, taking into account when they are ready to reopen so that we have mirror safety measures regarding departing and arriving passengers," the minister said.

Agreements have been reached with several countries, while the dates are yet to be finalized, Kryklii added.

At the same time, the minister refused to name the specific countries with which negotiations are being held, only specifying that he was talking about EU member states.

"First we must get official confirmation," he said.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the government had begun negotiations with other countries on resuming international flights.
