The tourism sector is one of the most affected by quarantine bans.
The Cabinet of Ministers will develop a scheme for domestic travel routes and new approaches to the COVID-19 observation routine.
"Tourism is now strategically important for the government, and it should be the priority of the recently created agency [State Agency for Tourism Development]. It is unclear yet, when our citizens will be able to safely travel abroad, but they must clearly understand there will probably be mandatory observation [quarantine] after their return," Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Oleh Nemchynov wrote on Facebook, following the meeting on the prospects for the development of outbound and domestic tourism, as well as reform of the tourism industry.

According to the minister, this meeting was the first step toward creating a completely new model of the tourism industry. Thanks to the involvement of all relevant ministries, a clear scheme for domestic tourism routes will be drafted, as well as new approaches to the observation, such as recreation and treatment in sanatoriums, will be proposed, he added.
