"Following three months of intensive negotiations and setting up required regulatory framework, the Ukrainian and Hungarian transmission system operators, Gas TSO of Ukraine LLC and FGSZ Natural Gas Transmission Private Company Limited by Shares, concluded new interconnection agreement, which prescribes uniting two existing interconnection points – IP Beregovo DN1400 and IP Beregdaróc DN800 – into one single virtual interconnection point– VIP 'Bereg,' which comes into force on May 1, 2020," the Ukrainian operator's press service said on its website on April 29.

Such integration is one of the latest requirements prescribed by the Network Code for Capacity Allocation Mechanisms (NC CAM). In case of Ukraine and Hungary it became possible only in 2020, because the same business rules started to be applied on both physical interconnection points – Beregovo and Beregdaróc on January 1, 2020.

As UNIAN reported earlier, in December 2019, Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine LLC and Hungarian FGSZ agreed on the terms of cooperation in the interconnection points Beregovo and Beregdaróc.
