The minister said domestic air travel alone would not provide the necessary traffic.
Ukrainian Infrastructure Minister Vladyslav Kryklii has said Ukrainian air carriers are seeing no reason to resume air travel in stages, therefore Ukraine may simultaneously see a resumption of both domestic and international air travel.
Speaking at a morning TV show "Snidanok z 1+1" on May 14, Kryklii said the ministry is in discussion with national carriers on the possibility of resuming air passenger services.
"Yesterday we had a great meeting with national air carriers. We have come to the conclusion that if we open [air travel], we do so simultaneously. In fact, domestic air carriers worked according to the hub model: to provide a lift and get involved in international air transportation," Kryklii said.
