Ukraine places additional eurobonds worth US$600 mln – Finance Ministry

The additional issuance was priced at a 6.20% yield with a re-offer price of 108.914%.

Ukraine's Finance Ministry says the country has placed additionally issued eurobonds worth US$600 million.

BNP Paribas and Goldman Sachs International acted as Joint Lead Managers. The settlement of the additionally issued eurobonds is expected to take place on December 18, 2020.

The proceeds will be used for general budgetary purposes, the report said.

"We are happy to announce the pricing of another public eurobond transaction this year. The implied yield of 6.20% is the lowest yield in the history of Ukraine's public US$ eurobond offerings. We are gratified by the continuing support of international financial organizations and the international investment community in this challenging year," the ministry's press service quoted Ukrainian Finance minister Serhiy Marchenko as saying.

Background

In July, Ukraine announced the successful settlement of its new 12-year US$2 billion 7.253% eurobond due March 2033 to repurchase eurobonds worth US$846.15 million maturing in 2021 and 2022.
