The domestic economy may enjoy positive dynamics in Q2.
Ukraine's Ministry for Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture says Ukraine's growth domestic product (GDP) may drop by 3% in the first quarter (Q1) of 2021.
That is according to an economic activity review for January-November 2020 published on the ministry's website.

However, the adaptability and flexibility of certain types of economic activities enhanced by the experience gained during the peak of the pandemic in March-April 2020 under severe quarantine curbs, as well as the launch of vaccination worldwide and the government measures to support businesses and the population, may minimize this drop in the domestic economy.
The economy may enjoy positive dynamics starting from the second quarter (Q2) and until the end of 2021 if the morbidity situation does not worsen and strict restrictions are not introduced.
Based on the results of 11 months of 2020, the ministry estimated the GDP decline at 4.7%, which was generally in line with the projected trend.
Forecast
