Ukraine's hryvnia slumps to UAH 27.18 to U.S. dollar on July 3

The official forex rate against the euro for Friday is fixed at UAH 30.66 per euro.

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) on July 2 set the official forex rate for July 3 at UAH 27.18 to the U.S. dollar, which made the country's national currency slump by 41 kopiykas.

The hryvnia has been weakening for the second day in a row, according to the NBU website.

The official forex rate against the euro for Friday is fixed at UAH 30.66 per euro – the hryvnia lost 66 kopiykas in value since Thursday.

The central bank has fixed the following official forex rates of the hryvnia against key foreign currencies for July 3:

US$100 will be quoted at UAH 2,718.01 (UAH 2,677.00 as of July 2);

EUR 100 will be quoted at UAH 3,065.92 (UAH 2,999.71 as of July 2).

On June 2, hryvnia quotations against the dollar on the interbank currency market by the close of trade settled at UAH 27.22/27.25 to the dollar, while those against the euro – at UAH 30.69/30.72.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the National Bank set the official forex rate of the hryvnia for Thursday, July 2, at UAH 26.77 to the U.S. dollar, which made the country's national currency weaken by 10 kopiykas after a two-day rise.
