Ukraine's hryvnia strengthens to UAH 26.60 to U.S. dollar on June 9

The official forex rate against the euro for Tuesday is fixed at UAH 30.15 per euro.

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) on June 5 set the official forex rate of the hryvnia for Tuesday, June 9, at UAH 26.60 to the U.S. dollar, which let the country's national currency strengthen by 10 kopiykas.

The hryvnia has seen gains in value against the U.S. dollar for the seventh consecutive day, according to the NBU website.

The official forex rate against the euro for Tuesday is fixed at UAH 30.15 per euro – the hryvnia lost 16 kopiykas in value since Friday.

By 17:00 Kyiv time on June 5, hryvnia quotations against the dollar on the interbank forex market settled at UAH 26.58/26.60 to the dollar, while those against the euro were at UAH 30.12/30.15.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the National Bank set the official forex rate of the hryvnia for Friday, June 5, at UAH 26.70 to the U.S. dollar, which let the country's national currency strengthen by five kopiykas. Thus, the hryvnia saw gains against the U.S. dollar for the sixth consecutive day.
