Ukraine's hryvnia strengthens to UAH 26.74 to U.S. dollar on June 17

The official forex rate against the euro for Wednesday is fixed at UAH 30.24 per euro.

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has set the official forex rate for June 17 at UAH 26.74 to the U.S. dollar, which let the country's national currency strengthen by 10 kopiykas.

The central bank has fixed the following official forex rates of the hryvnia against key foreign currencies for June 17:

US$100 will be quoted at UAH 2,674.24 (UAH 2,684.4 as of June 16);

EUR 100 will be quoted at UAH 3,023.9 (UAH 3,020.62 as of June 16).

On May 16, hryvnia quotations against the dollar on the interbank currency market by the close of trade settled at UAH 26.80/26.82 to the dollar, while those against the euro – at UAH 30.20/30.22.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the National Bank set the official forex rate of the hryvnia for Tuesday, June 16, at UAH 26.84 to the U.S. dollar, which made the country's national currency weaken by 11 kopiykas. Thus, the hryvnia had seen losses against the U.S. dollar for the second consecutive day.
