Ukraine's hryvnia strengthens to UAH 26.82 to U.S. dollar on June 2

The official forex rate against the euro for Tuesday is fixed at UAH 29.80 per euro.

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) on June 1 set the official forex rate of the hryvnia for Tuesday, June 2, at UAH 26.82 to the U.S. dollar, which let the country's national currency strengthen by five kopiykas.

The hryvnia has seen gains in value against the U.S. dollar for the third consecutive day, according to the NBU website.

The official forex rate against the euro for Tuesday is fixed at UAH 29.80 per euro – the hryvnia gained 13 kopiykas in value since Monday, according to the NBU website.

By 16:00 Kyiv time on June 1, hryvnia quotations against the dollar on the interbank forex market settled at UAH 26.80/26.82 to the dollar, while those against the euro were at UAH 29.78/29.80.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the National Bank set the official forex rate for June 1 at UAH 26.87 to the U.S. dollar, which let the country's national currency strengthen by four kopiykas. Thus, the hryvnia had seen gains against the U.S. dollar for the second consecutive day.
