Ukraine's hryvnia strengthens to UAH 26.87 to U.S. dollar on June 1

The official forex rate against the euro for Monday is fixed at UAH 29.93 per euro.

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has set the official forex rate for June 1 at UAH 26.87 to the U.S. dollar, which let the country's national currency strengthen by four kopiykas.

The central bank has fixed the following official forex rates of the hryvnia against key foreign currencies for June 1:

US$100 will be quoted at UAH 2,686.85 (UAH 2,690.59 as of May 29);

EUR 100 will be quoted at UAH 2,992.75 (UAH 2,962.34 as of May 29).

The official forex rate against the euro for Monday is fixed at UAH 29.93 per euro – the hryvnia lost 31 kopiykas in value since Friday, according to the NBU website.

By 16:00 Kyiv time on May 29, hryvnia quotations against the dollar on the interbank forex market settled at UAH 26.84/26.87 to the dollar, while those against the euro were at UAH 29.87/29.90.

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) set the official forex rate of the hryvnia for Friday, May 29, at UAH 26.91 to the U.S. dollar, which let the country's national currency strengthen by nine kopiykas after a three-day fall.
