Ukraine's hryvnia weakens for second day in a row

The forex rate was set at UAH 26.90 per U.S. dollar.

The National Bank of Ukraine has set the official forex rate of the hryvnia against the U.S. dollar on Wednesday, May 27, at UAH 26.90 per U.S. dollar, that is, the official hryvnia has been weakening for the second day in a row.

The national currency lost three kopiykas in value, the NBU said on its website.

The official forex rate of the hryvnia against the euro for May 27 is set at UAH 29.51 per euro, that is, the hryvnia lost 19 kopiykas in value per euro compared to the previous figure.

As of 15:00 Kyiv time on May 26, the U.S. dollar on Ukraine's interbank currency market was traded for UAH 26.93/26.95 per dollar, and quotations to the euro were UAH 29.56/29.58 per euro.

According to UNIAN, the National Bank of Ukraine fixed the forex rate of the official hryvnia to the U.S. dollar for Tuesday, May 26, at UAH 26.87 per dollar, that is, the hryvnia after one day's strengthening decreased by 11 kopiykas against the dollar.
