Ukraine's hryvnia weakens to UAH 26.95 to U.S. dollar on July 9

The official forex rate against the euro for Thursday is fixed at UAH 30.43 per euro.

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) on July 8 set the official forex rate for July 9 at UAH 26.95 to the U.S. dollar, which made the country's national currency weaken by two kopiykas.

The official forex rate against the euro for Thursday is fixed at UAH 30.43 per euro – the hryvnia lost two kopiykas in value since Wednesday, according to the NBU website.

The central bank has fixed the following official forex rates of the hryvnia against key foreign currencies for July 9:

US$100 will be quoted at UAH 2,695.14 (UAH 2,693.09 as of July 8);

EUR 100 will be quoted at UAH 3,042.95 (UAH 3,040.90 as of July 8).

As UNIAN reported earlier, the National Bank set the official forex rate of the hryvnia for Wednesday, July 8, at UAH 26.93 to the U.S. dollar, which let the country's national currency strengthen by 20 kopiykas. Thus, the hryvnia had seen gains in value against the U.S. dollar for the third consecutive day.
