Ukraine's hryvnia gets stronger against U.S. dollar for fourth day in a row

The official forex rate for May 4 was set at UAH 26.96 per U.S. dollar.

The National Bank of Ukraine has set the official forex rate of the hryvnia against the U.S. dollar at UAH 26.96 per U.S. dollar for the next business day, Monday, May 4, which let the Ukrainian currency strengthen for the fourth day in a row.

The hryvnia gained one kopiyka in value, it said.

The official forex rate of the hryvnia against the euro set for May 4 is UAH 29.29 per euro, which made the Ukrainian currency weaken by five kopiykas against April 30.

As of 16:00 Kyiv time on April 30, the hryvnia on the country's interbank forex market was traded for UAH 26.94/26.97 per dollar, while quotations against the euro were UAH 29.30/29.33 per euro.

Retail forex rates in Kyiv's currency exchange booths on the morning of Thursday, April 30, were UAH 27.20 per dollar and UAH 29.55 per euro.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the official forex rate on Thursday, April 30, was UAH 26.97 per U.S. dollar and UAH 29.24 per euro.
