Ukraine's hryvnia slides to UAH 26.87 to U.S. dollar on May 26

The official forex rate against the euro for Tuesday is fixed at UAH 29.32 per euro.

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has set the official forex rate for May 26 at UAH 26.87 to the U.S. dollar, which made the country's national currency weaken by 11 kopiykas.

The central bank has fixed the following official forex rates of the hryvnia against key foreign currencies for May 26:

US$100 will be quoted at UAH 2,687.42 (UAH 2,675.56 as of May 25);

EUR 100 will be quoted at UAH 2,931.57 (UAH 2,916.76 as of May 25).

By 15:00 Kyiv time on May 25, hryvnia quotations against the dollar on the interbank forex market settled at UAH 26.88/26.90 to the dollar, while those against the euro were at UAH 29.33/29.35.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the National Bank set the official forex rate for Monday, May 25, at UAH 26.76 to the U.S. dollar, which let the country's national currency strengthen by one kopiyka.

The hryvnia became stronger after it had been losing in value against U.S. dollar for two days in a row.
