Ukraine's hryvnia strengthens to UAH 27.05 to U.S. dollar on April 23

The official forex rate against the euro for Thursday is fixed at UAH 29.42 per euro.

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has set the official forex rate for April 23 at UAH 27.05 to the U.S. dollar, which let the country's national currency strengthen by three kopiykas.

The Central Bank fixed the following official forex rates of the hryvnia against key foreign currencies for April 23:

US$100 will be quoted at UAH 2,705.36 (UAH 2,708.15 as of April 22);

EUR 100 will be quoted at UAH 2,941.81 (UAH 2,935.77 as of April 22).

By 16:00 Kyiv time on April 22, hryvnia quotations against the dollar on the interbank forex market settled at UAH 27.00/27.02 to the dollar, while those against the euro were at UAH 29.34/29.37.

The rate of U.S. dollar at Kyiv's exchange booths on Wednesday morning remained at UAH 27.40, while the euro lost six kopiykas in value, as the rate was UAH 29.69 per euro.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the National Bank set the official forex rate for Wednesday, April 22, at UAH 27.08 to the U.S. dollar, which made the country's national currency weaken by one kopiyka. That is, the hryvnia slightly lost in value after strengthening against U.S. dollar for two consecutive days
