Ukraine will not be waiting for the relevant requests from other states, taking a pro-active stance on the matter.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has already begun negotiations on the reopening of air passenger traffic with other countries, suspended due to the global spread of the coronavirus.
An informed source in the diplomatic circles says the Foreign Ministry at a government meeting held May 18 said Ukraine should move proactively on the issue of relaunching international flights, taking into account two factors.

One of them is that the strategy of reopening regular flights should include a synchronized launch of outbound and inbound flights so that citizens could both depart to a certain destination and also return if needed.
Another factor is about considering the epidemiologic developments in foreign destinations.
Following the meeting, Ukrainian embassies were instructed to research the schedule and rules by which air traffic is going to relaunch in EU member states and other destinations popular among Ukrainian tourists.
The information has to be accumulated before direct talks could be held with foreign governments on the reopening of regular international flights.
"We have already started working on this," the source said.
As reported earlier, a Schengen zone entry ban will be in place until June 15 for non-EU citizens, subject to certain exemptions, including for permanent residents, labor migrants, etc.
