Ukrainian gas stocks grow by 2.4 % to almost 18.4 bcm over week

Natural gas stocks in Ukraine's underground storage facilities (USFs) grew by 2.4%, to 18.35 billion cubic meters (bcm) within a week, May 30 - June 7.

As of June 7, 2020, gas reserves in the country's USFs increased by 53% from 11.97 bcm as of June 7, 2019, the state-run gas transport system operator Ukrtransgaz said.

The USFs were filled by 59% as of June 7, 2020.

As UNIAN reported, on March 11, Ukraine began the season of injecting natural gas into underground gas storage facilities (UGS). Gas reserves in storage as of March 11 amounted to 15.808 billion cubic meters.

By the beginning of the heating season 2019-2020, Ukraine has accumulated 21.76 billion cubic meters of gas in UGS, which is a record for the last ten years.
