Ukrainian gas stocks grow by 2.5% to over 19 bcm over week

Natural gas stocks in Ukraine's underground storage facilities (USFs) grew by 2.5%, to 19.22 billion cubic meters (bcm) within a week, June 13-20.

As of June 20, 2020, gas reserves in the country's USFs increased by 48% from 13 bcm as of June 20, 2019, the state-run gas transport system operator Ukrtransgaz said.

The USFs were filled by 62% as of June 20, 2020.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine started the season of pumping natural gas into its USFs on March 11, when the country's gas reserves there were 15.808 bcm.

By the start of the 2019-2020 heating season, Ukraine had accumulated 21.76 bcm of gas in its USFs, which was a record high figure in the past decade.
