Ukrainian sugar refineries have produced 251,000 tonnes of sugar since September 5, 2020, when the current sugar production season began with the launch of a sugar refinery in Lviv region's Radekhiv district.

As reported, 27 sugar refineries were in operation in Ukraine as of October 19.

Background:

Ukrainian sugar refineries reduced sugar production in the season and marketing year (MY, September 2019-August 2020) by 19% from MY 2018-2019, to 1.48 million tonnes.
