UkSATSE names airlines in lead by number of flights performed in Ukraine

Turkish Airlines performed 14,623 flights in Ukraine's airspace last year.

The Ukrainian State Air Traffic Services Enterprise (UkSATSE) says Turkish Airlines, Ukraine International Airlines (UIA), and Belarus' Belavia are in the lead by the number of flights performed in Ukraine's airspace in 2020.

The TOP 10 companies also include: Hungarian WizzAir (9,151 flights), Ukrainian-based Windrose (8,511) and SkyUp Airlines (8,434), Polish LOT (6,260), Irish Ryanair (5,965), Ukrainian Azur Air (4,663) and Turkish Pegasus Airlines (3,446).

Background

  • In 2020, the Ukrainian State Air Traffic Services Enterprise provided air navigation services to 142,047 flights, which was 57.6% down against 2019.
  • Ukrainian airlines performed 49,733 flights, while foreign ones – 92,314, which was also 54.7% and 59.1% down from 2019, respectively.
