Ukrainian police have detained a man who is said to have killed three policemen in Kyiv on Thursday, Interior Minister Arsen Avakov wrote on his page on Facebook on Friday.
"We have detained the killer, who turned out to be a drug dealer, who murdered three policemen yesterday,” Avakov wrote.
“He was shooting back during his arrest, and our men were rescued by a gun shield that was applied during the storming of his apartment," he wrote.
"The suspect was hospitalized with serious injuries under the escort of special forces," Avakov said.
