The update comes as a happy twist to a morning report on the alleged abduction of two teenage girls in Kyiv.
The incident with two teenage girls who were allegedly kidnapped in Kyiv's Obolonsky district on September 6 has turned out to be a marriage proposal.
"A guy has decided to make a marriage proposal in this way," the police said, according to the Segodnya newspaper.
Apparently, the teenager has decided to make an elaborate prank to impress his girlfriend ahead of the important proposal. This involved a staged kidnapping and a surprise effect his future significant other would never forget.
As UNIAN reported earlier, an eyewitness said he saw a group of teenagers sporting black masks pushed two girls into an Audi. The victims called for help and resisted the abduction, but the attack was so fast that bystanders did not have time to rescue the pair.
